NLPOA ELA CHAPTER CALENDAR

General Membership Meetings take place at 7:00pm on the last Wednesday of the month at

(No November Meeting and December’s meeting is the Holiday Gathering)

The NLPOA ELA Chapter proudly hosts several events annually and we are looking for interested volunteers to help plan these worthwhile events:


HOLIDAY CHILDREN’S SHOPPING SPREE

Join the NLPOA ELA Chapter in bringing holiday joy to needy children at our Holiday Shopping Spree on Saturday, December 3rd. The time, location and other details will be coming soon. Here’s how you can help:

DONATE – Help sponsor a child. The more we collect, the more children can participate! Mail checks to: NLPOA East Los Angeles Chapter, P.O. Box 63336, Los Angeles, CA 90063 with “SHOPPING SPREE” in the memo.

CHAPERONE – Day of event volunteers needed to help the children shop.

VOLUNTEER – Folks are needed to check in families, help with refreshments, coordinate the Santa Claus line and other event logistics.

REFER – Let the chapter know of children in difficult circumstances in need of assistance.

CASINO NIGHT

Everyone is invited to join us for our Casino Night Scholarship Fundraiser

7:00pm-11:30pm

$30 per person includes admission to casino, cigar patio live band areas, $50 of gambling chips, hors d’ouvres and no host bar.

CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY SEAT INSPECTION

Local area residents are invited to participate in the NLPOA ELA Chapter sponsored Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection and Safety Fair:

8:00am Volunteers Set-Up
9:00am Public Inspections Begin (by appointment only)

COMEDY NIGHT

The National Latino Peace Officers Association – East Los Angeles Chapter proudly presents A Night of Comedy Fundraiser benefiting the Fallen Officers Fund and Youth Scholarships.

$40 donation per person

NLPOA – ELA DAY AT THE BALLPARK

The National Latino Peace Officers Association – East Los Angeles Chapter invites members, family and guests from far and wide to join us for our annual Dodger Day at the Ballpark BBQ in the “corner park” area near the historic Los Angeles Police Academy in Elysian Park. Complimentary parking is provided on the Police Academy grounds.

Tailgate BBQ starts 2 hours before game time; Ends 30 minutes before game time
Price: $60 per person (includes Tailgate BBQ and ticket to the game (lodge level), pre-game fun, with drinks and food catered by AJ’s BBQ.

The NLPOA – ELA Chapter is a non-profit, fraternal/professional association of members who serve the community, fundraise for student scholarships, provide career training, advancement & mentoring in Law Enforcement, and work to bridge the gap between the Latino Community and the police.
