2026 Variety Car Show Recap: A Day of Community, Cars & Celebration

On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the Pico Rivera Sports Arena became the heart of East Los Angeles for one unforgettable day. The National Latino Peace Officers Association – East Los Angeles Chapter hosted its 2026 Variety Car Show, and from the moment the gates opened at 8:00 AM to the final showcase at 2:00 PM, the event was a powerful reminder of what this community can accomplish when it comes together.

Cars, Culture & Community Pride

The show floor was alive with an extraordinary display of vehicles — from classic lowriders to immaculately maintained show cars — each one a reflection of the pride and craftsmanship that defines our culture. A heartfelt thank you goes to Bel Air Car Club for bringing some truly stunning vehicles to the arena, and to every car owner who brought their prized ride out to share with the community. Your dedication made the show what it was.

Honored to Stand Alongside Our Partners

Events of this scale are built on relationships, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who showed up — not just in presence, but in purpose:

  • Law Enforcement Partners: California Highway Patrol – East Los Angeles and Santa Fe Springs divisions, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Your service and partnership with this community is valued every day, and especially on days like this.
  • Civic Leadership: Senator Bob Archuleta and Mayor Monica — thank you for continuing to champion the needs and aspirations of East Los Angeles. Your presence at community events like this speaks volumes.
  • Community Contributors: Art Carrasco, Danny Placencia, the Pio Pico Woman’s Club, and the Pico Rivera Sports Arena — your involvement helped make this event a true community celebration, and we are grateful for each of you.

A Turnout That Speaks for Itself

The attendance at this year’s show exceeded our expectations, and it was a reminder of just how much this community values connection. Guests enjoyed live music, great food, raffles, awards, and plenty of good conversation. The energy throughout the day — and yes, the laughter — said everything that needed to be said.

Thank You. See You Next Year.

We are humbled by the support we received and already looking forward to making next year’s event even bigger and better. To everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, and showed up — thank you for being part of what makes this chapter, and this community, something worth celebrating.
